OUR PRODUCTS
Newtex's product line includes the original Zetex®, ZetexPlus®, Z-Flex™, and Z-Shield™ brand names as well as other heat and fire resistant fabrics, tapes, ropes, and tubing. Under the Newtex Extreme brand, the company also markets high temperature protective apparel and equipment made from Zetex®, ZetexPlus®, Z-FlexTM, and Kevlar® to provide protection from heat, fire, sparks, and molten splash.

OUR HISTORY
Newtex was founded in 1978 by Bal Dixit, who pioneered the industry's first safe and commercially viable alternative to asbestos with Zetex®. Newtex and Dixit have received numerous awards and recognition since the company's founding. Dixit now serves on several boards including the Rochester Institute of Technology and the US Department of Commerce's Upstate New York Export Council. He was inducted into the Rochester Business Hall of Fame in 2003.
