Newtex Industries Introduces Z-ShieldTM Product Line for High Temperature Welding and Fire Blanket Protection
October 15, 2007 - National Safety Council Congress and Expo, Chicago, IL - Newtex Industries, a leading integrated manufacturer of high-tech, heat
resistant products for industrial and safety markets, today introduces
its Z-Shield™ welding and fire blanket protection product line.
For 30 years, Newtex's Zetex® and ZetexPlus® fabrics have been trusted
in the most demanding environments where welding and other hot works
operations pose serious fire hazards. With the launch of Z-Shield™, we
have combined high temperature fabrics with proprietary coatings to
offer a comprehensive line of products uniquely tailored to meet the
needs of this rapidly growing market.
The Z-Shield™ line includes welding blankets and curtains to support a
broad range of applications, ranging from light welding and grinding to
heavy welding, metal cutting, and stress relieving.
Available products
include:
• Z-Shield™ Salmon in Pink and Red, a flexible protective fabric for covering
equipment and work areas
• Z-Shield™ in White, Carmelized (Heat-cleaned 2025/9383) and Safety
Orange for
essential protection in light welding and grinding
applications
• Z-Shield™ Plus is treated with a vermiculite coated for added resistance
temperatures of 1500°F to 2000°F
• Z-Shield™ Gold for the same essential protection without the airborne fibers
• Z-Shield™ Black for the toughest welding environments, with its
superior resistance
to abrasion, slag, burn-through, and temperatures
of 1500°F to 2000°F
• Z-Shield™ Tuff in Red and Rust, a weather, water, and oil-resistant fabric for field
construction
• Z-Shield™ Silica, a high-silica fabric for extreme temperature applications of
1800°F to 3000°F
