Z-Flex™ MLA Aluminized Fabrics
Radiant heat protection to 3000°F
Newtex's Z-Flex™ line of multilayered aluminized fabrics are specifically designed for protective apparel and shields used in environments that pose serious fire risk or safety hazards associated with hot works or radiant heat sources. Our fabrics incorporate the proprietary Z-Flex MLA™ process, or Multilayer Aluminization, which delivers outstanding reflectivity, durability and flex-bond. Up to 95% of radiant heat can be reflected when deployed properly in protective gear, with no organic flame contribution. Z-Flex fabrics have been independently tested against the most demanding US and EN standards, and deliver superior performance against competitive offerings. Base fabric choices include texturized and filament E-glass, Spun and Core Spun Aramids, OPAN / Aramid blends, Lenzing FR, Nomex, PBI and others. Temperature ratings of base fabrics range from 500F-2000F, with Radiant Heat Ratings to 3000F.
