Aluminized Safety Clothing

Aluminized Zetex Safety Clothing is made with aluminum film bonded to durable Zetex fabric.

Designed to reflect 90% of radiant heat, aluminized coats, pants, aprons, sleeves, boots, leggings and hoods can be worn where the ambient temperature does not exceed 200°F (93°C). The fabric provides excellent insulation, flexibility and heat reflection, including resistance to delamination, cracking and peeling. Aluminized garments can be used in many applications, such as foundries, steel mills, manufacturing plants, and chemical facilities.

Standard Fabric
Garments are fabricated from Aluminized Zetex 600 (weight fabric 18 oz. per sq. yard). For molten metal splash protection, garments are made from Aluminized Zetex 800 fabric (24 oz. per sq. yard). Standard lining is FR cotton.

Fabric Options
Newtex can custom-fabricate your safety garments from these other aluminized fabrics: Aluminized Kevlar; Aluminized Nomex; Aluminized PBI/Kevlar; and Aluminized Rayon. Garment linings are available in FR cotton, wool, quilted Nomex, and neoprene.
