Insulation Fabrics
Newtex heat-resistant fabrics are woven from a variety of textured and non-textured glass yarns. Most fabrics contain specialized coatings to resist high-temperatures and abrasion. Different colored fabrics are also available, depending on the application.Marketed under the Zetex and ZetexPlus brand names, our fabrics are easy to fabricate into a wide range of thermal products: lagging, insulation pads, piping and turbine insulation, gas and liquid filtration products, gasketing, acoustical and electrical insulation, head reflectors, expansion joints, blankets and curtains.

Lagging
Zetex Rewettable fabric with water-activated adhesive is ideal for lagging applications. Try our popular Zetex 300 Rewettable and Zetex 400 Rewettable, excellent materials for encapsulation of asbestos in hot pipe and steam pipe applications. Zetex 300 is a 14.5 oz./square yard (492 gr./square meter) and Zetex 400 is a 22 oz./square yard (746 gr./square meter) available in 50 yard (46 meter) rolls at 60 inch (1524mm) width.
Insulation
Zetex 300 is a lightweight glass fabric used for many insulation applications. The heat cleaned fabric meets US Government military specification MIL-C-20079; it is also available with heat treatment coating. The 8.5 oz./square yard (288 gr./square meter) is available in 40 inch (1016mm) and 60 inch (1524mm) widths in 50 yard (46 meter) roll lengths.
Zetex 600 is most widely used fabric for insulation, both as heat cleaned and treated fabric. It is used as the face fabric material for insulation pads in many industrial high temperature applications. Zetex 600 heat cleaned fabric meets US Government military spec MIL-C-20079. Zetex 600 is a 18 oz./square yard (610 gr./square meter) fabric available in 40 inch (1016mm) and 60 inch (1524mm) widths in 50 yard (46 meter) roll lengths.
Durability
For insulation applications needing more durability, use Zetex 800 fabric with wire reinforcement. Zetex 800W/Wire is 24 oz./square yard (814 gr./square meter) available in 60 inch (1524mm) widths in 50 yard (46 meter) rolls.
Zetex 500 S/S Silicone fabric is used as the outside facing for insulation pads. Zetex 500 S/S Silicone is a 15 oz./square yard (509 gr./square meter) available in 60 inch (1524 mm) width and Zetex 575 S/S Silicone is a 17 oz./square yard (576 gr./square meter) available in 60 inch width (1524mm).
High Temperature
For temperatures over 1200° F (650° C), use ZetexPlus 800 fabric, a heavier fabric special coated to withstand higher temperatures. ZetexPlus 800 is a 27 oz./square yard (916 gr./square meter) available in 50 yard rolls (46 meters) rolls in 40 inch (1016mm) and 60 inch (1524mm) widths.
