Heat resistant sleeves are used to cover cables, wires, and hoses to protect them from heat and flame or to provide electrical insulation. Heat resistant sleeves also protect from oil, water, and grease around fuel lines and hydraulic equipment in industrial applications. In addition to high temperature industrial environments, heat resistant sleeves are commonly used for thermal management in the automotive aftermarket.

Newtex offers Zetex® fiberglass sleeves and 3M™ Nextel™ ceramic sleeves in a range of diameters. We can also manufacture aluminized sleeving and coated heat resistant sleeves for custom orders.

  • 3M™ Nextel™ Sleeves: Woven from continuous filament ceramic oxide fibers, the 3M™ Nextel™ Sleeves are the most temperature resistant sleeves that Newtex offers. These heat resistant sleeves can withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 2000F / 1095C.

  • Fiberglass Sleeves: Woven from continuous filament DE Glass yarns, fiberglass sleeves can withstand temperatures up to 1000F/540C. These heat resistant sleeves can also be treated with a ZetexPlus® vermiculite coating for improved temperature resistance and abrasion resistance.
