Twisted & Braided Rope for High Temperature Packing & Sealing
Our Zetex® twisted and braided ropes are commonly used in high temperature sealing and packing applications involving hot air, steam, water, fluids, or gases. Our ropes are conformable and durable, resistant to most acids and alkalis, and won't shrink, stretch, or unravel. In addition to the products described below, we can also manufacture custom ropes for large orders. All of our ropes are asbestos-free and manufactured in the United States at our Victor, New York facility.
Zetex® twisted rope is a conformable and economical product used for sealing boilers and oven and furnace doors, including those with uneven surfaces. Zetex® braided rope is stronger, denser, smoother, and more stable than Zetex® twisted rope. It is used in packing applications that require greater resistance to compression and mechanical wear. Zetex® twisted and braided ropes can both withstand operating temperatures up to 1000°F (540°C) and peak temperatures up to 1300°F (700°C).
Any Zetex® rope can be treated with our proprietary ZetexPlus® vermiculite coating, for additional temperature and abrasion resistance. The coating works to dissipate heat across the surface of the rope so that it can withstand operating temperatures up to 1300°F (700°C) and peak temperatures up to 1500°F (815°C).
Custom widths of braided and twisted ropes are available. Minimum order requirements apply.
