Z-Rock™ Basalt Tape is a heat resistant tape woven from a dark and shiny fiber derived from inherently fire retardant volcanic rock. Basalt tape offers comparable heat resistance to ZetexPlus® Vermiculite Tape, but the basalt tape features a smooth and shiny finish and more flexibility for easy installation with minimal snagging.
Z-Rock™ Basalt Tape withstands operating temperatures up to 1500°F / 815°C and peak temperatures up to 2000°F / 1095°C. This heat resistant tape is commonly used for insulation and heat containment in exhaust systems in the automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, and transportation industries.
