Industrial Fire Protection Expertise
The World Standard in Cargo Fire Containment
The FireCape® FCC is the result of 40 years of high-temperature textile expertise. A passive, lightweight cover that deploys in minutes over any standard cargo pallet — containing a full Class A fire or violent Li-ion thermal runaway event for 6 uninterrupted hours. No power source, no suppression systems, no special training required.
Made from Newtex's proprietary Z-Block™ flame-retardant fabric, the only fire containment cover built by a vertically integrated textile manufacturer. Trusted by the U.S. Navy and major global cargo carriers.

Fireproof up to 1,800°F / 980°C
Z-Block™ fabric will not burn, melt, or allow flame penetration — even under sustained direct flame exposure from a Li-ion thermal runaway event.
Multi-hazard resistance
Resists molten metal, chemicals, water, and UV degradation. No toxic outgassing when exposed to fire. Mold, fungi, and bacteria resistant.
6-hour certified containment window
Extends crew response time from 17 minutes to 6 full hours — enough for diversion at maximum ETOPS distance. Smoke release controlled to keep detection systems active.
Li-ion battery fire rated
Specifically designed and tested for the violent, sustained heat of lithium-ion thermal runaway — the #1 growing threat in air cargo. Exceeds proposed FAA and EASA regulations.
Passive system — zero infrastructure
No power source. No suppression agents. No maintenance contracts. A single cover, stored with the pallet, ready to deploy in minutes by ground crew.
Easy to deploy and maintain
Lightweight and flexible. One person, no tools, deployed in minutes. Easy to clean, inspect, repack and reuse. Designed for real-world operational conditions.
Z-Block™ Fabric Platform
Every FireCape® FCC is built on Newtex's proprietary Z-Block™ flame-retardant fabric — a technologically advanced coated textile engineered specifically for extreme fire containment. As a vertically integrated manufacturer, Newtex controls every step from fiber to finished cover.

How It Works
The FireCape® FCC is a passive, zero-power system. No installation. No maintenance contracts. Just deploy and protect.
Select the correct FCC size for your pallet configuration
Six standard sizes cover all common aircraft pallet types. Custom sizes available for non-standard configurations.
Unfold and position over loaded pallet
Lightweight design deploys in minutes by a single ground crew member. No tools or special equipment required.
Secure the zipper closure at the pallet base
The reinforced zipper closure seals the cover around the pallet to form a two-way fire and smoke barrier.
In event of fire: cover contains the threat for 6 hours
No crew action required. The FireCape® FCC passively contains flames, smoke, and toxic gases while the aircraft diverts safely.
Certifications & Testing
FireCape® and Z-Block™ materials meet the most demanding international fire safety standards.

FireCape® FCC Sizes
Six standard sizes cover all common aircraft pallet configurations for narrow- and wide-body aircraft. Custom sizing available for military, naval, and specialty programs.
