Z-Flex Aluminized Fiberglass Fabrics
Z-Flex Aluminized fiberglass fabrics are well-suited for applications requiring insulation and a superior radiant barrier.
Z-Flex Aluminized fabrics with a Z-Fil™ filament fiberglass cloth base are lightweight and flexible. These heat reflecting fabrics are commonly used as the outer shell in multi-layer removable insulation pads or insulation blankets.
Z-Flex aluminized fabrics with a Zetex® texturized fiberglass fabric base are heavier and offer greater protection against high temperatures and molten metal splatter. These heavier aluminized fiberglass fabrics are commonly used for industrial heat shielding, proximity suits, and aluminized clothing.
Z-Flex aluminized fiberglass fabrics are also available with a Z-Sil™ Silica fabric base. Z-Sil Silica is woven with fiberglass yarn that is composed of more than 96% silica for superior heat resistance up to 2300°F / 1260°C. Aluminized fiberglass fabrics with high silica content are commonly used to fabricate heat shielding curtains or wraps and mats used in high-temperature automotive applications.
Z-Flex aluminized fiberglass fabrics are made from inorganic materials so they will not produce hazardous out-gassing.
