High Temperature Ropes
Compare & Quote This ProductHigh temperature ropes are often used in industrial gasketing, packing, and sealing applications. Common applications include high temperature gaskets, oven door seals, metal casting seals, and expansion joint packing. Newtex’s high temperature ropes are designed for applications with temperatures up to 2300°F / 1260°C.
Newtex offers several types of high temperature rope in a range of diameters. Available styles include Zetex® fiberglass rope, wire rope, and ceramic rope. We may also be able to develop custom coatings or diameters for specialized high temperature applications.
- Fiberglass Ropes: Our high temperature fiberglass ropes are braided or twisted from DE glass continuous filament yarn and can withstand temperatures up to 1000°F/540°C. This high temperature rope can also be treated with a ZetexPlus® vermiculite coating for improved temperature resistance and abrasion resistance.
- Ceramic Ropes: Our high temperature ceramic ropes are made from ceramic fiber yarn and reinforced with fiberglass filaments for added strength. Ceramic rope is available in braided, twisted, and square braided styles and can withstand temperatures up to 2300°F / 1260°C.
- Wire Ropes: Our stainless steel and Inconel wire ropes are strong and vibration resistant. Stainless steel mesh can withstand temperatures up to 1,800°F / 980°C while Inconel mesh can withstand temperatures up to 2000°F / 1095°C.
