Strong, Lightweight Filament Fiberglass Cloth for Facing & Coating
Made from continuous filament yarn, Z-Fil™ Fiberglass Cloth is a strong, thin, lightweight, and highly flexible high temperature fabric. Available in simple and snag resistant plain weaves or smooth 4 harness and 8 harness satin weaves, these woven fiberglass cloths range in weight from about 2 ounces per square yard to 25 ounces per square yard.
Uncoated Z-Fil Fiberglass Cloth is commonly used as an economical facing material or as a stress relieving material in construction and welding applications. We also manufacture heavier Zetex® fiberglass fabrics woven from texturized fiberglass yarn for applications where additional thermal performance is needed.
Z-Fil Fiberglass Cloths are often coated with a lightweight oil and water resistant treatment (OWR) that prevents wicking and improves resistance to oil and water. Z-Fil can also be treated with heavier high temperature coatings like silicone or PTFE for abrasion and weather resistance, Z-Shield Salmon acrylic coating for welding protection, or Z-Flex aluminized lamination for radiant heat protection.
Z-Fil™ Fiberglass Cloth supports high temperatures up to 1000°F / 540°C.
The Z-Fil F-407 Fiberglass Cloth is UL Approved and meets the NFPA 701 certification.
