3M™ Nextel™ Woven Ceramic Fabrics are designed to meet the toughest thermal, mechanical and electrical performance requirements. Engineered to perform at continuous temperatures of 2372°F/ 1300°C or higher, depending on application and composition, 3M™ Nextel™ Ceramic Fibers and Textiles are typically used for high temp insulation in aerospace, outer space, and industrial applications.
3M™ Nextel™ fibers have low elongation and shrinkage at high operating temperatures, which allow for a dimensionally stable product. These ceramic fibers also offer good chemical resistance, low thermal conductivity, thermal shock resistance, low porosity and unique electrical properties.
Newtex is an authorized distributor of 3M™ Nextel™ 312, 440, 610 and 720. The Nextel 312 and Nextel 440 products are designed for non-structural applications where their primary purpose is to insulate or to act as a flame barrier. The Nextel 610 and Nextel 720 products are structural grade fibers designed for load bearing applications in metal, ceramic, and polymer matrices.
Select 3M™ Nextel™Fabrics are also available in both Heat Cleaned and Heat Treated verisions.
In addition to 3M™ Nextel™ fabrics, Newtex is also an authorized distributor of 3M™ Nextel™ Tapes, 3M™ Nextel™ Sleeving, and 3M™ Nextel™ Thread and Yarn.
